Executive Head Chef Nigel Mendham from London is jetting in to join Dubai- based Executive Chef Martin Cahill to host a special dinner on 26th April at West 14th steakhouse; the especially curated menu combines the best dishes from both destinations
With delicious menu items such as Seared Scottish Langoustines, a creamy bisque and Pimms & Custard pudding on the menu, discerning diners will not want to miss this special event taking place at West 14th on Tuesday 26th April.
Foodies will have the chance to enjoy the bespoke menu created by two top chefs at the award-winning Manhattan style grill and bar, which is located at Oceana Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah and managed by DUKES Dubai. Executive Head Chef Nigel Mendham, from DUKES London, is flying in to join DUKES Dubai Executive Chef Martin Cahil in creating the one-off meal that is sure to delight even the most seasoned gastronome.
Tantalising menu items from Chef Cahill’s kitchen include creative appetiser such as Garden Leaves with Arabic Vegetables; Scottish Langoustine; and Pimms & Custard. Chef Mendham, on the other hand, is introducing Smoked Haddock with fresh peas, and Fillet of Beef with cauliflower and spelt. The meal, which is priced at AED350 per person or AED450 with beverage pairing.
The exclusive event will showcase perfectly the impressive experience of both chefs. DUKES Dubai Executive Chef Cahill has spent the majority of his 20-year professional life overseas, with senior culinary positions for high profile hotel chains including Mandarin Oriental and Hyatt in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Chef Cahill has put his stamp on the culinary offering at West 14th with a mouthwatering new menu that includes dinner items such as Wagyu Beef Cheek and T-Bone Steak, as well as classic deserts such as Apple and Rhubarb Crumble and Lemon Meringue Pie.
Executive Head Chef Mendham, regarded as one of the UK’s leading chefs, has almost two decades experience in the restaurant industry. Currently residing at DUKES St. James, London’s signature restaurant THIRTY SIX By Nigel Mendham, he uses flavours meticulously prepared with a modern flair to push the boundaries of modern British food. A Michelin star recipient, Nigel’s passion for food has also been awarded three AA Rosettes.
“Teaming up with Chef Cahill to create this special menu has been a thoroughly enjoyable creative journey. I am looking forward to touching down in Dubai, Visiting the markets and getting to work in the kitchen and personally greeting the guests attending this stand out event,” said Chef Mendham.

West 14th is managed by DUKES Dubai, the luxury hotel owned and developed by Seven Tides, which is set to open on Palm Jumeirah later this year. Outside of the special ‘two chefs’ dinner, West 14th is open from 9am to midnight, seven days a week, and offers lunch through to 3pm and dinner from 6pm. The contemporary, open-plan, loft-inspired layout of the restaurant recreates the street atmosphere of Manhattan’s Meatpacking district and attracts diners looking for a stylish setting in which to sample the best steaks from around the world, as well as seasonally inspired dishes.
